Self-Sabotage?

Did you see my 2006 race calendar? Feel free to ignore it if you did. It's out the window, at least through Sunday. I neglected to register for the March Madness 1/2 marathon in Cary, IL and just learned that the race has been full since mid-January. So I'm just a wee bit LATE and, surprisingly, more than a little disappointed.

I guess it'll be another long training run on Sunday instead. As I've always said, I HATE training almost as much as I LOVE racing. A half-marathon race on Sunday: good. A 13-mile training run on Sunday: blech.

Next up: the Valparaiso Mini-Marathon (half-marathon distance) on April 9th in Valparaiso, IN. I've already registered...

I have thought lately that I like training more than racing. Maybe b/c I haven't had a tri since thanksgiving day last year.

I'm fortunate enough to have a partner who does that stuff for me. He just hands me forms to fill out and I hand 'em back. Then he does the driving to the races.
