Lance Discombobulates The French...Again

I generally like the French, 'specially their food (can you say 'coq au vin?'), their wine (can you say Chateauneuf du Pape?'), a few of their women (can you say 'Brigitte Bardot?') and, occasionally, their literature (can you say 'Bernard-Henri Levy?') But they don't seem at all happy about Lance returning to their annual party, as was opined recently:

"...Lance, let's suppose that you'll still be competitive in 2009 - and that's a strong possibility - there is all the same a small problem which is bothering us.

"It's the side effects that your return will inevitably have on cycling's image.

"Us former riders generally have respect for winners, but that's not always the case with the public and above all the media who have heavy suspicions about you..."

Yeah, right. "Us riders" respect you Lance, but watch out for the hoi polloi and the "heavily suspicious" media. The side effect the writer seems most worried about is once again having a spotlight directed on lots of his countrymen and women acting like they're, well, French - which is to say insufferable and whiny.

Kick ass, Lance.
