I'm In, Baby!

Ironman Wisconsin 2006, here I come! Whoo Hoo!

Against Intrepid Training Partner's advice, I stayed home from Madison yesterday. Truthfully, I wasn't sure whether watching the race in person would calm me down or stress me out more. So I spent time with Tri-Daughters #1 and #4, watched football (da Bears lost but so did the Packers) and followed the 2005 race on IronmanLive's streaming video feed - which was pretty cool by the way.

By late afternoon the feed was coming from the finish line and that finally ended my dithering over which IM event to sign up for. Yep, as I watched the awesome crowds and the sheer spirit of this wonderful town I used to call home, as I watched the racers' faces crossing the finish line, I said "THAT'S where I want to be a year from now."

And so the journey continues...

UPDATE: All 2,500 slots were sold out in less than 5 hours! Wil is in too! Look for WIBA (Wisconsin Ironman Brick Adventures) reports all next summer!

This is going to be so much fun!!! I can see that now that I'm over the general nausea caused by signing up! Five hours, dang. Dang!

Can't wait for WIBAS, especially since I'll have a bike (and legs by then) that might be actually be able to keep up with you!

And one of us needs to buy the orange floaty ball teather for the swims this time!
