Triathlon Comes To Omaha, August 2010
From the Omaha World-Herald: Omaha announces an August 2010 Olympic-distance triathlon. Though I'm not sure about the Carter Lake swim, the bike route goes RIGHT BY my loft. I've ridden the so-called 'airport loop' so many times I could ride it in my sleep...and probably have.

Omaha's the Closest I'll Get To Paris This Year

So I was at my favorite little Omaha bistro last weekend, sitting at a sidewalk table enjoying the Parisian gestalt, when a friend of a friend stopped by, sized me up and said I needed to GAIN weight!

Today's "Remove That Stick From Your A** Award" Goes To...
...this Missouri prosecutor. Hey, I hate the Blues as much as the next Chicago fan but, c'mon, not even the DUMBEST Blues fan (and there's tons of competition for THAT award) deserves legal hassles over some obscure election fraud law. Leaving
Sunset over the Great Plains...way, way, way back there behind me as I return to the Great Suburban Outback.
Leaving Part Deux
I said one day I'd see the Great Plains receding in my rearview mirror. And so they are. Thanks to the Flying Lunchbox for holding steady while I snapped this with my cellphone cam.

As this wretched winter drags on and on, my need for a beach/blanket/beverage/bikini fix grows and grows. Maybe this triathlon would provide the necessary respite.

Loser Alert
Last week it was orgasm alerts. This week I'm skipping the middle man and just alerting y'all to a black hole singularity-sized gathering of loser dweeboids assembling in the faint hope that safety in numbers will let 'em recapture a semblance of their youth. Yep, even as I write this they're winding up and tossing old-lady bloomers on stage to a bunch of lame geezeroids..Bon Van Halen Jovi or something...
