TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALL GAME!

Mark Cuban blogs about the Cubs and why his bid to buy the team is unlikely to be successful.  You'll never read a better, more real-time, insider's view of the thinking (or lack thereof) behind a big business deal.

I hate to say it - Cuban was my choice to buy the team - but he's better off letting someone else "win" the bidding, overpaying (in Cuban's math) by hundreds of millions.  Then when the inevitable happens - with the team in bankruptcy, say - Cuban could swoop in, buy the team for 20 cents on the dollar and petition the bankruptcy court to FORCE Major League Baseball's owners to admit him to their clubby world. SCORE!

Meanwhile, Cubs fans better learn a new dance: the Omaha BOHICA.
