Speaking Of Getting Older But Never Aging...

(UPDATE: I deleted the movie trailer.  There's no "play" button so the damn thing would play every time a "Life Is A Tri" page was reloaded.  I hate that.  So go HERE to watch the trailer.)

Here's two reasons for me to seriously upgrade my home theater system: the Stones and Martin Scorsese. How much better can life get? Seriously? I'm asking?

The Rolling Stones were, are and always will be THE BEST ROCK BAND EVAH! And Geezers Rule. But then you knew that...

While you're at it, go download Patti Smith's version of "Gimme Shelter" from iTunes. Now. Right now.

I disagree VM. The Stones are not the greatest rock band evah. They still produce music and sell out but haven't had a number one hit since 1982 with Start Me Up.

Now i like the stones, have a ton of it on my iPod, but band with the greatest influence ever, Beatles. And this coming from someone who disliked the Beatles until about two years ago. Now you could argue they were a POP band but greatest band overall nevertheless.

Then I would put Led Zepplin up there above Stones. Zep did more for rock as a genre while being the contemporaries of the Stones. Plus Zep is more tied into the social conscious of today than the Stones, even though the Stones have made a gazillion dollars touring the last ten year.

But don't get me wrong. A Stones concert on DVD would be infinitely more watchable than the Beatles or Zep. Heck I saw a late 70's Styx concert DVD a while back better than most anything out touring today.

I Like the Stones, I'm just sayin'

I agree with you, although can't understand why you would ever dislike the Beatles. And if you think they were a mere pop band, I suggest you listen to the double White album- "HELTER SKELTER!!!!!"
What got me about this movie (from what I've read) is that although looking more an more like Mount Rushmore, the Stones are still energetic and give their all. Look at Jagger- 63 years old and prancing around without an ounce of fat on him! (Although I'd prefer to look like a 70 something Clint Eastwood than Jagger at any stage of hi life....)
