This year's container color scheme favors intense purple-ish/copper-ish, paired with oranges, yellows, reds, more rust-ish/copper-ish hues and vibrant lime greens.
Here, two varieties of Heuchera (v. Caramel and v. Dolce Licorice) flank more calibrachoa, grasses (Carex flagellifera v. Toffee Twist) and some annual flamey spikey thingies...whatever.
Where possible, perennials are favored over annuals - all the better to transplant along my Great Suburban Outback byways as summer winds down and fall winds up. There's a huge meadow across the street needing some attention, but I dare not say more lest some Great Plains readers take further offense.

It's just me. I caught a glimse of the flowers you planted. I like them, but nothing like we plant here in KS. good job! Sharon
