Picture this: I'm sleeping on the library couch for a few days due to the aforementioned en suite bedroom being under contruction (or demolition, depending on your point of view.) It's approximately 4:30 in the A.M. when, suddenly, the bric-a-brac (that which hasn't yet been trash-canned...I HATE bric-a-brac...) starts rattling and shaking and carrying on.
WTF? Is CtWD having a bathroom emergency? Is T-D #3 double-timing him down the stairs and out the front door? Nope, that's not it. Wait! Uh-oh! It's a freakin' earthquake! A 5.2 magnitude, 20 second-long honest-to-goodness tremor!
How does this happen? I went to sleep in the Great Suburban Outback and awoke in the People's Republic of Northern Mexico, er, California! No damage reported except to my sleep patterns.
Spring has finally sprung here in the Great Suburban Outback. Time to get busy.
iPod Shuffle: "Money (That's What I Want)" by Jerry Lee Lewis, from "Live At The Star Club - Hamburg." Rockabilly with a punk attitude. A frenzied German audience. This may be the hardest-rocking live album EVAH!
