So I awoke this morning to rain, 34 degrees and "chewing" sounds percolating through the ceiling of the basement en suite bedroom where I'm temporarily en suited. Yes, kitchen-bound CtWD was gnawing on a chair leg, apparently preferring wood fiber to his usual diet of area rugs, garbage, kitchen sponges and rabbit crap. I fixed him, though. I dosed the chair's legs with Tabasco sauce. Now I'm sitting back, swilling coffee and waiting for the inevitable hilarity to ensue. Then I'll get out the paint and make Tri-Daughter #3 fix the freakin' chair.
On the bright side, the hot tub's fixed and ready for a good post-run soak. I'll need it after I drag CtWD's wood-pooping ass around a cold, rainy 6-mile loop.
iPod Shuffle: "The Last Chance Texaco" by Rickie Lee Jones, from "Rickie Lee Jones." Is it just me or does she always sound high? Still, it's a cool song. And "I Can't Stand It" by The Velvet Underground, from "The Best Of The Velvet Underground." I'm told the Velvets' first album only sold 50 copies but everyone who bought it formed a band and went on to rock 'n roll greatness. Yeah, whatever. They must've been high, too. And "Last Parade (Crazy Lady)" by Sonia Dada, from "A Day At The Beach."
