The Weather Gods are being kind to the Great Plains. The last month has seen endless days of sun, moderate temps and breezes, all just right for off-season base-building and recharging the tri-batteries for next year. I'm NOT a cold-weather rider, as you few long-time readers know! But for now it's mid-November and I've still got plants thriving on my balcony.
Yet, the Weather Gods are nothing if not capricious, and I believe everything averages out eventually. That means this winter is really gonna suck. Uh-oh. I better get that survival kit assembled and in the back of my car. In the meantime the plants need watering.
iPod shuffle: "Platetectonic" by Poi Dog Pondering, from "Electric Plummagram." PDP is a Chicago-based dance/electronica/soul/jam band. They've kept me company on lots of long, long trainer rides.
