This is week #1 of Base 1. Total training hours are at 8:27.
- Monday: Run 0:36; Strength 0:45
- Tuesday: Run 1:00
- Wednesday: Swim 1:00
- Thursday: Day Off
- Friday: Run 0:36; Swim 0:45
- Saturday: Bike 1:30
- Sunday: Run 2:15 (14 miles)
The workouts are getting very run-centric since my next big race is January's P.F. Chang's Rock 'n Roll Marathon in Phoenix. Tuesday's run is a track workout, with 1 mile at my 5k pace (which is just below 7:00 at the moment) and 4X800 with the first 400 at my 5k pace and the second 400 slightly faster. Wednesday's swim focuses on developing power through lots of drills and devices: kickboards, pull buoys, closed fist strokes and 100% catch-up drills. Blech. Saturday's bike is a recovery ride. I'd get on my mountain bike if I had one, but it looks like the trainer in the basement for me. Sunday's run is the week's killer.

Man, you are on it already - you rock! I'm in pre-base right now - won't start actual base for a month or so.
