- "Finish vertically not horizontally." Here are the life adventures of Vertical Man, captious triathlete. Training, racing, drumming, musing and ranting. Occasional music, literary or social criticism, product reviews, dinner menus and whatever else I feel like, all viewed from the middle of the pack. I see the world through idiosyncratic, BS-detecting glasses and suffer neither fools nor celebrities very gladly or for very long. Those look like some great places to train. I have posted a few of my favorite routes too as photos. I think it gives a sense of unity in knowing what we are all going through. Except you know... you have a beautiful fall and I have 100 degrees plus, April through October.
