Hey! I Lost An Hour Somewhere!

Got up this morning, yawned, stretched, scratched, stepped on Cat the Ripper, threw DamnDog out to do her business, made a pot of coffee and decided to check a few tri-blogs. And did I feel BAD when I read that several of you (you know who you are) had not only been up for hours, but you'd already gotten your workout in AND POSTED SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I'm not sure I can deal with that level of commitment.

It was noon before I dragged my recalcitrant ass into the sunshine for a 60-minute run; 7.4 miles, zones 1 and 2 and with twelve 20-second strides thrown in to mix it up. Now I'm home deciding how best to waste the rest of the day. Sitting in the sun watching the world go by sounds pretty good.

Yesterday, I spent either a decade or two hours (I forget which) on the bike trainer. I'm really starting to hate that damn thing.

I also hate basketball. Well, no, that's not true. I loathe basketball, college basketball most of all. But, given where I live, it seemed almost unpatriotic not to pay some minimal level of attention to last night's Illinois game. Though as a Wisconsin alum, I was conflicted about whether to cheer for the Big 10 conference or against a Big 10 arch-rival. Rivalry prevailed in the end over conference collegiality, and Illinois won. Big hairy deal.

I'm way more concerned about CBS's Two and A Half Men getting pre-empted on Monday night.

Im with you on basketball. Glad your run went well, it makes the rest of the afternoon go so much better.

I can never finish a run and think that it was a waste of time.

Ah! The big 10 nightmare, yes, I know that well. Comes with the territory.

And I don't care what your trainer says - that was an awesome pace!
